SolEx Water

SolEx is a privately held Israeli company, headquartered in Netanya, Israel.
The SolEx Water team is highly experienced in the clean-tech and energy fields, in process development and in deployment. It is unique in its innovative methods and solutions.

SolEx Water WET™ process extracts water and organics using bidirectional solvent from the wastewater stream, leaving only concentrated brine for disposal or for further treatment.
The extracted water is deflated from the bidirectional solvent by mixing with a drying solvent.

Deflated fresh water is ready to reuse in the production process.

The solvent mixture is separated and the water-depleted solvent is recycled to the extraction operation.
A small bleed is treated for the separation of co-extracted organics.

In many cases the wastewater volume to be disposed of is reduced by a factor of ten, generating recovered high-quality water, e.g. suitable for steam production or for fracking.

SolEx Water WET™ process is solvent-extraction based.
In WET we employ a non-toxic and widely-used industrial solvent, which is fully recyclable and can be made from renewable resources.

The water extraction WET system takes place in counter-current mixer-settlers, but can also be done using separation column in footprint sensitive installation
