Senior Principal Hydrogeologist / Scientist & Adjunct Research Fellow (La Trobe University) BSc, MSc, PhD, R.P.Geo, CEnvP I have got experience in groundwater engineering, as an engineering geologist and consulting hydrogeologist. My technical experience encompasses a broad spectrum of construction, operational and environmental groundwater tasks. I have worked for contractors & consultants on civil engineering, mining, oil & gas, and infrastructure (transport, hydropower & Energy) worldwide including dewatering, depressurization, Groundwater control for civil construction / Mining projects, water supply, water quality management, aquifer interference, groundwater impact & risk assessment, and design-related tasks. During my years working as a consultant for multi-disciplinary projects, I have obtained specialized skills in hydrogeological investigations and in the application of numerical modeling to groundwater and geotechnical applications. The majority of my work has involved providing technical advice and consultancy on complex hydrogeological matters, groundwater resources, conceptualization of groundwater regimes and associated issues, development of regional groundwater 3-D models & modeling for mine & construction dewatering, surface groundwater interaction, impacts of mining, civil construction, land-use change & groundwater management, exploitation, control, groundwater inflow & drawdown / settlement assessment for pit and underground mines, mine closure and rehabilitation, beneficial users & dependant ecosystems, water supplies for agriculture & industry, water & soil contamination assessments, remediation designs. I have been working in Engineering Geoscience & Environmental industries at multi-national / Global Engineering consulting firms- Cardno Lane Piper, GHD, SMEC (Snowy Mountains Engineering Corporation), Aurecon (Engineering, Design & Advisory company) & Engeny (Engineering and Environmental consultancy). Worked extensively on national and international projects across Australia, New Zealand, Middle East, Asia & Africa, with water, resource, mining, and engineering projects such as tunnels, basements, swimming pools, deep foundations, rail, Metro system, roads, power stations, port expansion /dock, dam, embankment, levee, slope stabilization/ cut-off walls/diaphragm wall/piles including transport, energy, agriculture industries on Geological, Geotechnical/Geo-engineering, hydrogeological, Hydraulic, hydrological, landfill design, contamination/pollution/remediation, and environmental assessments.
